The Client Engagement Team Analyst (“Analyst”) will be a member of the team supporting our Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (“OCIO”) business. The Client Engagement team supports the business development, relationship management, and RFP teams for the business. The candidate will work on a team and bring excellent project management skills, be task and detail oriented and have a solid understanding of the investment environment. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to effectively manage the responsibilities of this role. Our clients are endowments, foundations and other nonprofits.
This role will be based in our Wilton, CT Headquarters. This office is moving to Norwalk (Merritt 7) in the fall of 2025.
We are currently hybrid, three days (Tuesday through Thursday) in the office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and respond to a broad range of analytical requests from relationship teams and investors.
- Maintain record-keeping through CRM system regarding prospective and current investor activities and contact information.
- Coordinate other internal resources (i.e., investment and risk management teams) to meet with clients, where appropriate.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-meeting research for senior members of the Client Engagement team.
- Coordinate the compilation and production of client presentation materials and pitchbooks for new business prospects.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the other analysts/associates on the team, providing back-up as needed.
- Research potential prospects for identification, lead qualification, and opportunity development with primary focus on decision makers, trustees, investment staff, and other service providers, adhering to compliance policies and procedures.
- Coordinate follow-up requests and action items from client and prospect meetings.
- Work closely with Marketing to coordinate regional events and conferences and assist in the efforts to drive attendance.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
- Four-year degree is required, and upcoming college grads are welcome to apply.
- 0-2 years of investment management experience or internships preferred with a focus on business development, relationship management or investor relations.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task and work well under pressure in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills and strong interpersonal, phone, written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively across teams and levels of the institution.
- Strong understanding of financial marketplace preferred.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- CRM / Salesforce skills preferred.
